Shrimp and grits. One of the most popular southern dishes. It can be presented in several different ways.; Or so I discovered after visiting Portico. Their appetizer specialty is the shrimp and grits … deep fried ….  in shape of a ball. (four balls to be exact.) Already leary of the concept, I opted to get the mushroom and red pepper cream sauce on the side, and later forget to use it (because I scarfed them down so fast.) Damn good balls! I accompanied them with an order of their buffalo wings which aren’t pictured, but just as delicious.
